The fantastic Gate from Team Mirage has thrown a linux build my way, but I need a couple of people to test.
Anyone?
Update: Linux Build is here http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/17871.html

| If you give it to me, I will test it for sure. But I don't have internet connection on the computer I use to play Quake4 (at home), so the only way I can test it is only me + the bots. |

I wont be hosting anything on the public internet but I do have a dedicated Debian box that me an my friends use for LAN parties. I love running your bots locally and I wouldn’t mind checking them out on my Linux box. As long you don’t mind my limitations. Great work by the way… |

I've tried it, but when I load the mod the game crashes with the following error message:
found DLL in pak file: /usr/local/games/quake4/sabot/game001.pk4/gamex86.so
copy gamex86.so to /home/thbx/.quake4/sabot/gamex86.so
dlopen '/home/thbx/.quake4/sabot/gamex86.so' failed: /home/thbx/.quake4/sabot/gamex86.so: undefined symbol: _ZNK10idAASLocal14ClusterAreaNumEii
TODO: Sys_SetClipboardData
********************
ERROR: couldn't load game dynamic library
********************
Sys_Error: Error during initialization
Then I upgraded the game with the v1.0.6 patch, but nothing changed. |

| Ok, it seems the hacks custom is having to do aren't playing nice with the engine executable. Unfortunately I don't see this as being something easily fixed at this point. |

I would also like to test the Linux build (on a dedicated server). Please send the fixed build my way. _________________ http://tindalos.webhop.org |

Fortunately I'm not dead, just caught up in end of year busyness which hasn't left me with time enough even to post.
Thanks heaps for the build AJ, I've flung it out to a couple of you guys, if you say it's fine I'll "oficially" release it or whatever. |

| No probs - was partly just posting cos I've had emails go astray when they have sizable attachments, and letting these guys know they werent forgotten. |
